Is there anything better than sipping a delicious cocktail on a beautiful summer day? We’ve picked out some of our favourite florals and matched them with a cocktail recipe and a gorgeous fragrance for you to enjoy all summer long.

Lavender fragrance and cocktail

Lavender fields forever

Lavender is a flowering plant and a part of the mint family. It is known for both its beautiful flowers and its aromatic scent. Originating in the Mediterranean, lavender has a long history as a purifying fragrance, a medicinal herb, and a culinary ingredient. Whether used in an ancient Roman bath, stuffed in the cushions of Charles VI of France, or baked into bread in southern France, lavender is truly versatile and timeless.

Our cocktail pick: Lavender Paloma

Give this classic tequila and grapefruit drink a fresh floral twist by adding half an ounce of lavender simple syrup. You can create your own lavender syrup by combining half a cup of sugar, lavender, and half a cup of water over medium heat in a saucepan. Once the sugar has dissolved, strain, and then let steep for at least half an hour. Voila!

Its herbal fragrance makes it perfect for cooking, and it also has many medicinal purposes. It has been traditionally used to relieve muscle pain, promote alertness, and may even stimulate hair growth. It’s aromatic, bright, wood-like scent have made it extremely popular throughout history. It is fresh, and classic all at once.

Simple, light, and delicious. Give this classic cocktail an herbal punch by adding rosemary simple syrup into the mix. Combine gin, freshly squeezed lemon juice, homemade rosemary simply syrup, and club soda for a refreshing summer drink. Garnish with a lemon wheel and twig of rosemary for that picture perfect moment.

Looking for something warm, but also fresh? It might sound a bit strange, but don’t miss out on this enigmatic combo. Try this irresistible mix of rye, rose simple syrup, lemon juice and a few drops of bitters. You can also add a splash of soda for a touch of bubbly.
